Plot: In the weekend after thanksgiving 1973 the Hoods are skidding out of control. Benjamin Hood reels from drink to drink, trying not to think about his trouble at the office. The evergreen trees of the American West are dying by the millions, because the warming trend is making them vulnerable to pests they could resist in colder weather in which they evolved."
More people are migrating from their homes due to drastic changes in climate, he said, and refugees "could reach the hundreds of millions, destabilizing political systems around the world."
"Sea levels are rising," he said. "These changes are now beginning to unfold right in front of our eyes.
The fact they’re distributed globally causes the problem to masquerade as an abstraction. It’s not an abstraction. It’s not an abstraction for those who are being affected, nor would it be for our children and others who will be affected unless we take action now."
Yeah that’s true. We all know global warming is happening.

He is wrong. You can tell when he is wrong because it happens every time he opens his mouth. This isn’t the first time that we have had moderate warming and it won’t be the last. As far as it continuing beyond any completely normal variation in climate, it is highly doubtful. His examples of polar bears drowning was an outright lie. The ocean is warmer because we have been warming for 300 years. The ice cap is in no danger of melting anytime soon. It is just irrational alarmism.

Global warming is real and it is happening as we speak. The "Hoax" that Gore and others have pulled is what causes the global warming. They tried (knowing that what they were saying was a lie..the emails prove this) saying that the warming was because of man…well, you know what? It has been happening since the beginning of time…since the earth was formed and it is a GOOD thing that it happens because if it didn’t then earth would be like Mars..a frozen wasteland.
As far as his "Dooms Day" prophesies..that is purely theatrics on his part. What he neglects to say is how Antarctica is actually GROWING at a quick rate and the reason why the earth is melting is because the earths magnetic poles are moving slightly…but you never hear about THAT part of the story because it doesn’t fit the "It’s all man’s fault" BS that they keep trying to do!

Most of his statements are accurate but this one is exagerated:

True you can’t deny it. But it will take a long time for it to have a large effect. Although there is already some migration in low lying countries like Bangladesh.
Typical of Al Gore though, he’s always picking the worst of the medium case scenarios and then throwing in an exaggeration. What you say that he describes happening is happening, but his method of saying the one that I point out is a exaggeration. Other than that, sadly, It’s all happening. Thing is that it could be an unintentional exaggeration, like y’know, not bothering to go into detail. You see the exaggeration is in the image it creates, not the words themselves.
Bottom line: It is all happening right now and has been happening for some time.

Everything he said is true. Not that I’m a big fan, but most of what he says is true.
If you’re looking for false statements, look at the answer above mine from Allen. It has NOT been cooling. Even most deniers have changed their tune there. Of course they won’t admit they were wrong when they were all crying that it was cooling, since then their house of cards would fall. Not that it’s still standing, but ‘climate gate’ is like a closed-loop video of the house still standing… Eventually they will have to admit it’s gone.

Let me put it this way. Al Gore recently went on Conan o’Brien to talk about his new book and geothermal energy as a viable solution. Here’s an excerpt.
GORE: "It definitely is, and it’s a relatively new one. People think about geothermal energy - when they think about it at all - in terms of the hot water bubbling up in some places, but two kilometers or so down in most places there are these incredibly hot rocks, ’cause the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees, and the crust of the earth is hot …"
Two Kilometers is only 1.2 miles deep and the Earth’s core is between 4000 to 9000C max.
Gore also went on to say that Geothermal energy will provide the United States with 35,000 years of electricity and that scientist have also apparently invented a drill bit that can withstand these extremely hot temperatures.
Geothermal energy in reality has been around since early 1900 and no metal could withstand millions and millions of degrees. I cannot find anything that remotely backs up the 35,000 year claim.
If Gore can go on national TV and tell wildly inaccurate information, why can we trust him to be correct on anything else? This is a man that stands to gain a lot financially from global warming.
