How many movies have used real marijuana?
There are so many movies about pot. So many that it has created its own genre of films. My question, though, is how many of those movies actually have its characters smoking actual pot? I know in the 60s movie Easy Rider, Jack Nicholson actually gets high in the scene. With movies like Pineapple Express and etc, where the it is marijuana-themed, why wouldn’t producers allow the actors to smoke a joint? I mean smoking a little isn’t gonna make you forget that your making a movie right now. The actor just has to have some skill in improvisation.

How can I deal with college course load? how to finding a major and a purpose in life?
I’m in university right now and I’m trying to get good grades but feel like i can’t keep up with the school load. I’m taking genetics, linear algebra and microeconomics. It takes me an an hour to read 1 or 2 pages of my genetics book to actually understand the concepts. There is just so much hours in a day and i need to eat, travel to class, go to class, etc. and before i know it the day is over and i don’t get much done. I also don’t get much sleep. I feel like i learn best when I read the book (but i can’t keep up with the readings) Lectures are not helpful and neither are supplement tutoring if i haven’t read. I have all 3 midterms next week and i don’t know how to go about studying for them. The world is spinning so fast.

Everyday when I study linear algebra i spend a lot of time on it; genetics as well. Whenever i study one subject i feel like i don’t have time to study the other subjects. And that is why I’m behind in all my classes.

I feel depressed right now because i just feel like I’m going to fail all my classes. I want to be a biology major and work in the the in the science field. I know this is silly, but one reason i want to work in science is because they make a lot of money. But I’m also interested in health beauty. I’m thinking of becoming a pharmacist, make skin care products for companies(ppl say i should become a dermatologist because I’m always taking about skincare and health.), or become an optometrist, but i feel like the classes are so hard that I cant do it. my boyfriend tell me that i should just switch majors because its beyond my reach or I’m just not interested in the subject enough to continue studying science. Sometimes agree him but i don’t want to give up on my dreams. I feel really bad. I know i have a lot of soul searching to do but i don’t know where to start.

So now i’m exploring different classes outside of science. But i feel every class is almost as difficult and that i don’t know what to major in anymore.

I feel lost and hopeless in life and i don’t know what to do or how to deal with my grades. sigh……..
Can someone tell me where to begin and what i should do? how do i deal with my classes? Should i drop out of the science major?

note: I don’t want to drop any classes because i’m getting financial aid so I have to be a full time student.
I’m attending a University of California, and my school is in the quarter system so classes are only 10 weeks long.

first things first take a step back and take a deep breath. You are overwhelmed and freaking out isnt going to help anything. your classes are difficult but mangible. just keep telling yourself you can do it.

I know what you are going through. I am a science major at a university as well. I have difficult classes and that good GPA is looming over my head. I also work 20 hours a week. What I always do is take a break between studying. I study for a few hours take a short break and pick it up again later, It helps get rid of the monotomy and makes it so you dont go cross eyed reading.

At my school the minimum grade to continue and stuff is like a 2.0. not as high as you might expect. Many graduate schools, like med school, are not focused on grades. It is nice to get good grades but you do not need to be that 4.0 student to get in. they like to see other things as well.
My point being it is not that big a deal if you do not do well in one class. if you did not do as well as you hade hoped sometimes you can take it again to do better.

If you decide that science is just to hard there are many other great careers out there some involving science but with less math

maybe next quarter or semester take a class in a differnt discipline instead of just science to mix it up a bit.

what kind of rodent or small animal would trail small patches of thick orange liquid?
There is some kind of rodent or animal living or at least visiting my car’s engine

A about a month ago I noticed some orange liquid and now that I suspect an animal the amount has increased.
I’m 99.9% sure it is not fluid from my car
due to the random areas all around the engine
it’s also closer to where I find crushed acorns at where there is also animal droppings
nasty

it seems to be on the top areas
i’m not sure if it is urine or something on the animal that is dragging onto the surfaces
it’s small amounts and usually in small trails or like it was splattered
like if you had paint on a paint brush and just flicked it over the engine

i’m wondering because i bought some mothballs i heard would work
if it is a squirrel or chipmunk I figure it must be visiting because I think i would see it
if it is mice then they might be living in there

I just had it checked out for vacuum leak i suspected and the mechanic said nothing
and i’m not sure if he looked much but didn’t find any rodents
this was before i realized the rodent thing but after i noticed the orange stuff
it wasn’t much before now it’s everywhere

Initial reactions to my 2010-11 NFL season predictions?
Let me preface this by saying I know how stupid and ridiculous it is to even begin thinking about making this type of prediction so far in advance without going through the draft, training camp, retirements, coaching changes etc. etc. I was bored in class last week and I slowly drafted this up. I made an excel spreadsheet and I went across giving a W or L in each matchup. I looked up which divisions are scheduled to play each other in 2010 and I also matched conference opponents by their division rank this season so I have all of the opponents right.

I’ll post my results and then I’ll make some comments about them. The number in the bracket denotes playoff seeding.

My first reaction was disparity. In my predictions I have 7 teams with 3 or fewer wins; this season there were only 3 such teams. In my predictions I have 12 teams with 5 or fewer wins; this season there were only 8 such teams. In my predictions I have two teams going 15-1; this season the best regular season record was 14-2, followed by 13-3. When deciding who wins and who loses I looked purely at the teams on paper. I obviously couldn’t factor in injuries, winning streeks, momentum, home field advantage, playoff implications, resting starters etc. so I think that all these account for some of that disparity.

Anyways, as I said I was bored and decided to throw these together. I don’t actually think any of this is going to happen and I wouldn’t put five bucks on these predictions. Comment as you wish.

Batman:Gotham Knight is an anime anthology, but Catwoman isn’t in it.

I doubt there was much kissing in the 60s Batman cartoon or Superfriends, & she wasn’t in Batman Beyond (that I can recall), so you’re either looking for an epiosode of Batman Tas or two series I refuse to watch: The Batman or The Brave & the Bold.
