Does anyone know of a couple banks that typically have low interest rates on their credit cards? I’m trying to find one to transfer my credit card onto another credit card with a lower interest rate so I am not wasting money on interest. I am with Wells Fargo right now and had a 13% interest rate on my card, but after losing my job and missing 3 or 4 payments over the past year and a half, my interest shot up to almost 27% and now I feel stuck! I only got a credit card to gain credit and I feel like I’m totally screwed. My card is current now but I’m afraid I will be paying this off forever so I would like to do a credit transfer in hopes of saving money in interest and paying it off more quickly. Being in debt is scary and I feel like this is my only answer. Besides, Wells Fargo has been running me around like crazy and lying to me to get their money. They have screwed me over and misinformed me one too many times and I can’t help but feel that it was intentional to get more money out of me. I fought with them but it falls on deaf ears. They just don’t care and seems to forget that they are a business and I am a paying customer. Any good advice or even your own experiences would be helpful.

Lookout, The (2007) IMDB rating: 7.40 Plot: An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. The former athlete is left with a brain injury that prevents him from remembering many things for extended periods of time. To compensate, he keeps notes in a small notebook to aid him in remembering what he is to do. He also lives with a blind friend (Jeff Daniels) who aids him. Obviously, with the mental incapacitation, he is unable to have meaningful work. Thus he works as a night cleaning man in a bank. It is there he comes under the scrutiny of a gang planning to rob the bank. The leader (Matthew Goode) befriends him and gets him involved with a young woman (Isla Fisher) who further reels him in. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry. Bruce McGill and Alberta Watson also co-star as the young man’s parents, who still search for the person that was there before the tragic crash.

Why did she use up the extra fuel to drive me around to lookout point?
Her car was making a loud clunking noise from the front wheels while going round a corner and she asked me to go along for a ride in the car with her so that I could hear the noise. The first corner we went around there was the noise so we went right around the block twice to confirm the noise happens during turning left and turning right.

Then she said well lets go for a run out to the lookout point (we live by the sea and our town has a small lookout area which added about an extra 7mins to the whole trip)

I have known her for the last 3 and a half years She has always been very friendly and talkative towards me most girls are not. Every time I am around her she is very happy, giggly and funny as anything

I couldn’t figure out what was making the noise in her car and the funny thing is she has never been bothered by it since.

She like me has very little money, why did she use up extra fuel driving around to the lookout point?

I watched Vacancy (horror film) now i can't sleep! I'm so scared. :(?
So yesterday evening my dad put on this movie he had taped … VACANCY! So i was watching it and enjoying it.Then SHIT.The fear came.But you know that feeling when you HAVE to watch it even though your scared? Well thats what i did … till the end.

Last night i could not sleep AT ALL.I went to bed a t 10:30 and was awake till 2:38.I had put my duvet right over my body and my head with another one on the top then i had a jacket on so i was boiling and i was sweating like mad because of the heat and the nerves.I also couldn’t breathe but i really didnt want to take the covers off.I must of fallen asleep for a bit but them woke at 3:25 with really bad ear ache and i was finding it hard to breathe..

I went to my mums bedroom and took some medicen she gave me then went back to bed.I must of been at least 4am now! I tried to sleep but i was thinking about the movie and what if they came to me! I had my mobile under my pillow switched on and a pair of scissors on my dresser just in case!! I burst into tears because i was so scared but i was really tired but i was crapping myself I went back to my mum and told her i couldnt sleep.She put me into my sisters bedroom on the visitor put up bed! I took off my jacket and got a drink … sat there for a bit to cool off then went back to sleep.I woke up again with nightmares!

I must of fallen back to sleep because it was like an angels voice when the alarm rang (which i would not of said it i was in a normal sleep routine)! I was just so glad the night was over.

But i’ll have to face it again tonight and i have 2 hours till bed and i already feel sick and nervous!

Please tell me what to do! I cnt stay up too late reading or anything because i have school tommorow. Oh , im only 13 btw.

just keep reminding yourself its just a movie and that kind of stuff never happens. if you have a tv in your room try keeping that on for extra light (it will also block out the noise so if you think you hear something it will just be the tv) try running around or working out so you’ll be more tired and be able to fall asleep! good luck:)

They say you should eat things like steak so it raises slowly because if you eat sugar or candy etc. to raise it, it raises it too quick and cause your pancreas to spit out even more insulin which could drive your blood sugar even lower than it was to start with…

Avoid junk food, white flour, most sugar, fruit juice, and pop with sugar in it.

Switch to a healthier diet.

Eat complex carbs: things like whole grain breads instead of white bread. Whole grain pasta instead of white pasta, brown rice instead of white rice.

Eat a little more protien, but make sure its lean meat, beans, low fat cheese, or fish. No fried food.

Have smaller meals and add in a couple of healthy snacks per day.

Get tested for diabetes every year. I started out with hypoglycemia, and ended up with diabetes and so did my mother. I recommend you get tested. If you are already diabetic, you can feel like you have low blood sugar even when its too high.

Ask for an HbA1c test and a Glucose Tolerance Test.

Get them done every year to keep an eye on this problem. That way, if it does become diabetes you’ll know and can get started on proper treatment before it damages your nerves, eyesight, heart, kidneys and so on.

i cried today cause she won’t let me allow to sleepover at my friend’s house. No, not because she’s afraid of my safety, but cause she says i have low grades. my grades aren’t even that low, in fact, i pass every subject! I did have some friends with moms like that, really strict, and It bothered me when their punishments also became punishments for ME because they were keeping my friends from sleeping over at my house. I always thought that if you were gonna punish someone, the punishment shouldnt also affect their friends because that just didnt seem fair.
I can understand why you are upset.

BUT… she is your mom. No matter what she is like, it is your duty to respect her and her wishes. No matter how terrible another human being might be to us, they should never deserve our hate. I’m pretty sure that your mother senses your lack of respect for her, and that is contributing to your suffering. And we have only heard one side of the story, perhaps from her point of view you were being disrespectful to her face and that is why you got grounded.

It doesnt matter if you agree with your mom or not, she is your mom, she has the final say and her laws need to be respected. Your best bet in this situation to get what you want, is to surrender to her. Dont fight her. Act as mature as possible.. Tell her that although you feel she is being unreasonable, you understand that she is your mother and you are choosing to respect her desires and will accept her punishment. Make sure you dont call her any names or fight with her, just calmy admit to her that she is the boss and that you will listen.

You might not like that idea, but I do believe that the more respect you show her, the more lenient she will become. The more mature she witnesses you acting, the more thoughtful she might be in creating rules. The more you fight, the more she is going to fight to exert her power over you.
not to mention, anger only begets more anger.

It might not help right away, but be persistant with your attempts to be respectful of her and her rules, and I am sure you will see improvement. You cant get a new mother, and all of us struggle with our parents on varying degrees, we just have to learn to grin and bear it most of the time.

I know you think that she is being rough on you cause when I was younger I thought like you did. To be honest it has nothing to do with your grades. Your probably like what 13 - 16, She still sees you as her baby and she is trying to protect you, and you are trying to be more grown up then you are. Trust me the next few years are going to be like this alot. Then when your older you’ll understand. As for your friends moms, some act different around their kids friends but i really doubt they turn a blide eye to bad grades. To be completly honest, its just a sleepover and there will be plenty more.

Pregnant dog, need some advice?
The other day i came across a stray lab that’s pregnant. I decided to take her in, but I have always had my dogs fixed so I’m not completely sure how to prepare her for pregnancy. Shes barely showing and is developing teets, or milk however you want to call it. I do not currently have the money for a vet bill, but im setting aside money to take her within the next month. Does anyone have helpful information for me? Preferably a professional breeder even though these are likely mixed breeds pups.
What to feed her? (I feed my dogs Diamond Naturals Lamb and Rice)

I will have the money, in a month. I dont keep a savings account for when i find a stray. This was a last minute decision and i refuse to let her or the pups be put to sleep and will do my best to find homes for the pups.

Unless there are complications, dogs pretty much don’t need much help to have the puppies. Feed her good food, like you already are doing. Give her a blanket to lay on. When she is due, she will make a nest for her pups. Tear up some newspapers, or rags, and she will use these the way she wants them. Do take her to the Vets, when you can, to get her checked over for any ailments. Give her lots to drink. Ask the Vet if she should have milk to help her produce more, or if water is just as good. When the pups are born, she will rip off the sack. If she needs help, you can tear the sack off the pups yourself. Hold the pups in both hands, upside down, and gently, in a back and forth motion, shake the pup to get the fluid out of it’s lungs. Wipe the pup off with a clean cloth, or paper towel, briskly to urge the pup to breathe, and put on a heating pad (covered with a towel, at least), while you see if the mother needs any more help. Make sure the heating pad is not hot. After they are born, take the mother and pups to the Vets for a check up. Since you don’t know when she got pregnant, you don’t know when they will be born. It takes nine weeks. Perhaps, the Vet can give you a good idea when to expect the births. Also, if you have any other dogs or pets, keep them away from her when she is due to give birth, and away from her pups, to keep her calm. Best of luck to you!

Dogs are not money-less possesions. If you don’t have the money for a vet, you have two humane options:

1. Take her to a shelter, however the pups will most likely be put to sleep.
2. Take her to a rescue.

I’d opt to do the second option if you can. Rescues have volunteers that’ll take the time to watch the puppies and make sure they’re in good health.

That is really nice of you to take in a stray. If you can at all please take her in sooner. You might want to contact a local shelter they might know a vet that is willing to help you out since you took in a stray. Regular dog food will be fine for the time being until you can get her into the vet to see if she needs additional nutrition. Also if you google pregnant dog or something some website will give you good pointers.

Also for the people that are being mean to you, the dog is better off in her home than on the streets. Stop being so mean.

Have her aborted and spayed. This world certainly doesn’t need anymore mutt pups. If you don’t have money for a vet, why did you take in the dog? Why not surrender her to a rescue/shelter? Allowing her to have pups is going to cost you way more than the price of a spay.

Your best choice might be to take her to the SPCA. They will take care of her puppies and find them all homes.
If you decide to take her on then, feed her good quality food, It takes about 63 days total.
She needs extra food for the puppies. Dogs eat the same types of food we do, meats, and fruits and veggies. Have her a safe dark place she can call her own for the birth. Your, clean, old clothes are good for the bedding so she can have your smells to comfort her. Be ready to assist if a puppy gets stuck, but otherwise she can handle it herself. Nature is good that way. Dogs have been having puppies for a very long time without all our "help" Keep the puppies away from people for a couple of weeks so Mom can feel safe with them. When she is ready to stop feeding them, you will notice and begin puppy food softened with warm water or warm milk. And be prepared to help with the clean up. Let Mom keep them until they are a 8 to 12 weeks old and then make sure they go to good caring homes.

EASY!

The food your feeding your dogs is a good one, but i’d recommend something that’s high in CALCIUM, or you can just go to your local wal mart adn buy Calcium pills, for humans, and feed them to her in some cheese or something, its completely safe, ive been doing it for years.
when she starts getting close to having the pups you need to make a place for her to have them, the best way to do this is, if you notice the dog prefers a certain spot in the house the best place for the bed would be there, if the dog grows attached to you, then the best thing to do is to put an old tee shirt you’ve worn (for the scent) in the bed with her. and let nature take it’s course.

however, if she turns out to be a horrible mother (believe me this occasionally happens) the best thing to do is, leave the puppies where they were born (if its a safe place) and go out and purchase ‘Just Born’ milk replacement for puppies and follow the directions, something you may also want to do is keep a 20 liter bottle of warm water wrapped in a towel in the bed with the pups (it gives them the feeling there mother is there with them) and an alarm clock that ticks softly (mothers heartbeat) i know it sounds crazy but this stuff really works!!

Definately get her to a vet as soon as possible. Labs are generally pretty good breeders and tend to do pretty well at giving birth on their own. They do however, tend to sometimes have really huge litters so be prepared for that. The vet should give you all the info you need. But basically just prepare a nice snug, soft, warm place for her to give birth. If you notice her panting and acting restless she could be going into labor. A good quality dog food should be fine for her. Her eating habits may change a little but do not overfeed her.If you overfeed your dog she will gain weight which can make delivery more difficult later on. This extra weight can lead to complications during delivery.

Good afternoon ladies and gentleman, I am told that the best man speech should last as long as the groom takes to make love so………. THANK YOU LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.

No before I start I would like to thank Ian on behalf of the bridesmaids for his kind words, I think you will all agree that they do look absolutely stunning today, Only and quite rightly outshone by the beautiful bride Mrs Lucy Hadlet.

Now I have know Ian most of my life and we have done many things together over the years including playing a lot of sports such as tennis, football, table tennis, pool, snooker, cricket and rugby none of which Ian has ever been very good at but he tries hard.
