Lookout, The (2007) IMDB rating: 7.40 Plot: An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. The former athlete is left with a brain injury that prevents him from remembering many things for extended periods of time. To compensate, he keeps notes in a small notebook to aid him in remembering what he is to do. He also lives with a blind friend (Jeff Daniels) who aids him. Obviously, with the mental incapacitation, he is unable to have meaningful work. Thus he works as a night cleaning man in a bank. It is there he comes under the scrutiny of a gang planning to rob the bank. The leader (Matthew Goode) befriends him and gets him involved with a young woman (Isla Fisher) who further reels him in. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry. Bruce McGill and Alberta Watson also co-star as the young man’s parents, who still search for the person that was there before the tragic crash.

Why did she use up the extra fuel to drive me around to lookout point?
Her car was making a loud clunking noise from the front wheels while going round a corner and she asked me to go along for a ride in the car with her so that I could hear the noise. The first corner we went around there was the noise so we went right around the block twice to confirm the noise happens during turning left and turning right.

Then she said well lets go for a run out to the lookout point (we live by the sea and our town has a small lookout area which added about an extra 7mins to the whole trip)

I have known her for the last 3 and a half years She has always been very friendly and talkative towards me most girls are not. Every time I am around her she is very happy, giggly and funny as anything

I couldn’t figure out what was making the noise in her car and the funny thing is she has never been bothered by it since.

She like me has very little money, why did she use up extra fuel driving around to the lookout point?

I grew up in that era, and I don’t recall it having any sort of historical significance beyond bringing the Broadway hit to the screen. Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell already were established stars, so there is nothing significant there. It did not break any rules or establish any precedents.

I can’t think of a single thing that makes it significant. It was a box-office hit, but that would have been expected because of the cast and the popularity of the musical.

Now, someone who enjoys rewriting history might make some wild claim. However, I lived through that time period and can verify that there is NO historical significance for this particular movie.

I agree with the first answer,even though i consider guys like Ali,Tunney and Louis better boxers than Klitschkos, i just can’t see how any of them could overcome their jab and size.I am talking about Wladimir of 2007-10 who looks super human and Vitali who has always been very dominant,i think an all Klitschko final is very possible indeed.Wladimir should be thankful to Emanuel Steward for his career and dominant figure,Wladimir lost from inferior boxers only because he had not met Emanuel earlier in his career,basically Emanuel is responsible for the creation of one of the most dominant champions in the history of boxing.

I think it angers God when he see’s his people abuse self will; the self will he gave us as testimony that we may know that God is God. So it’s that time of year where you can send candies and roses to the girls at school because it’s valentines day dance. There’s this girl I think is really cute.. but I haven’t said any words to her other than "hi" when passing by, or a slight smile.
